Your data, protected by design

Who we are

DocuHome (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides web and mobile apps for organising property information, documents, photos, and maintenance tasks. We act as a controller for customer account data and a processor for content you upload, in line with applicable data protection laws (including GDPR).

Data we collect

• Account data: name, email, organisation, role.
• Property content: documents, photos, notes, tasks, collaborators, and metadata you add.
• Usage & device data: app interactions, device type, OS, crash/diagnostic logs.
• Plan data: plan preferences and feature access flags (no payment data is collected today).

How we use data

• Deliver and improve DocuHome features (document storage, reminders, AI summaries).
• Authenticate users, secure accounts, and prevent abuse.
• Provide support, notify you about updates, and meet legal obligations.
• Generate anonymised insights to improve reliability and performance.

AI features

AI-driven features (e.g., document summaries and suggested actions) operate on the content you upload. Outputs are not used to train external models, and we limit retention to provide the requested feature and maintain service quality.

Sharing & third parties

We share data only with service providers that help us run DocuHome (hosting, analytics, support). You can invite collaborators; anything you share with them is visible as permitted by your access controls. We do not sell your data.

Data location & security

• Data is stored in reputable cloud providers with encryption in transit and at rest.
• Access is role-based and logged; admin access is limited and audited.
• Backups and disaster recovery are maintained to protect availability.

Retention

We retain your content while your account is active. If you delete content or close your account, we remove it from production systems and backups per our retention schedules, unless law requires otherwise.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
